?/?/80 American High School Talent show. My first band. We were called The Punks. We played "God Save The Queen".

6/24/83: Flynn's, Miami Beach, FL. We were supposed to be called "Broken Palate", but the flyer ended up saying "Broken Talent" so we decided to stick with it. Why Howard Davis let us play after he witnessed our soundcheck is beyond me, but I'm glad he did. We were amongst the first bands to play at Flynn's, in the pre- Richard Shelter days. (BT)

Shannon's grandfather died before our set so he had to leave. Skaters knocked a huge hole in the basement wall and tore the paint off the floor. Jeff got it all fixed before his parents returned from a trip the next day!
